A more hands-on partnership to help you effectively communicate your child’s needs to the school district. We will work together to build a rock-solid foundation before you ever sit down at the IEP table.
Includes:
A comprehensive review of your child’s educational file (current/past IEPs, recent evaluations, and school correspondence).
Collaborative drafting of your "Parent Concerns" statement to be formally included in the IEP.
Assistance drafting professional, objective emails/requests to the school team.
A 45-minute meeting prep session to role-play and finalize your strategy.
A 30-minute post-meeting debrief call to review the school's proposed changes.
This is a complete, behind-the-scenes partnership for parents facing complex IEP situations. I will use my administrative background to completely analyze your child’s educational history, draft proposed solutions, and coach you through exactly how to handle pushback from the school team.
Includes:
File review, parent concerns drafting, email assistance.
Analysis of up to 3 years of past IEPs, outside medical/psychological evaluations, and progress data to find gaps in services.
I will write specific, measurable IEP goals and accommodation requests for you to formally propose to the school team.
The "Mock Meeting" Prep (45 mins): We will do a full role-play of your upcoming meeting. I will play the role of the school administrator so you can practice your responses, anticipate their arguments, and learn how to professionally pivot the conversation back to your child's needs.
Priority access to me on the day of your meeting for quick questions or gut-checks during breaks.
After the meeting, I will thoroughly review the school's new draft IEP and Prior Written Notice (PWN) before you sign anything, ensuring every verbal agreement made it into the legal document.
About
our partnership
Navigating special education and IEP meetings can feel overwhelming, but you don't have to do it alone. My mission is to empower families by providing clear, professional guidance so your child can access the exceptional educational opportunities they deserve.
When you work with Kage Consulting, you work directly with me. I bring a 360-degree perspective to our partnership, drawing on my firsthand experience as an elementary school principal, special education teacher, and SPED department chair. Because I understand exactly how schools operate from the inside out, we can work together to translate the jargon, clarify the process, and prepare you to walk into your next school meeting feeling informed, capable, and confident.
